So much joyous musicmaking goes on across the state in December. Here are just two of this weekend's myriad Georgia events:
- Banjo phenom Bela Fleck and his Flecktones appear in concert Columbus Friday. It's part of the winterfest2009, which also includes a three-day artist's market with booths throughout the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts.
- Saturday at Valdosta State, the Valdosta Symphony performs Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate and Mahler's celestial Fourth Symphony with soprano Tamara Hardesty and conductor Howard Hsu. The program is called "The Human Voice."
