  • Pianist Terrence Wilson appears with the Columbus Symphony in Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2, and George Del Gobbo leads the orchestra in Wagner and Tchaikovsky. RiverCenter, Columbus.
  • Star 20-something German violinist Julia Fischer fills her first recital at Spivey Hall, Clayton State, Morrow, with sonatas by Mozart, Prokofiev, Beethoven and Martinu.
  • In Donald Portnoy's last appearance as music director, he leads the Augusta Symphony in its fifth annual Pops! Under the Stars concert. University Health Care System, Evans campus. Free.
