Thank you, you wonderful listeners who joined GPB or renewed your membership during the fall fund drive that ended yesterday. We heard from over 1,700 listeners total, and of those, 340 callers (and an unspecified number of web contributors) made contact during Performance Today and Midday Music.

Some nice long pieces in gratitude, including new releases of a Martinu double concerto, Beethoven's "Kreutzer" Sonata (named for a musician who pooh-poohed the piece and the dedication), Mendelssohn's entire "Reformation" Symphony, and the "Irish" Symphony by Sir Arthur Sullivan of Gilbert and Sullivan fame:
