Midday Music, Thursday 7/2/09
In Augusta, the 13th annual Star Spangled Concert takes place July 4 at 8 p.m. at Saint Paul's Church, presented by the Riverwalk Series. The 85-member Independence Day Chorus and Orchestra perform Sousa marches, "God Bless America" and more; the city's Riverwalk fireworks display follows.
The Atlanta Symphony is also playing a July 4 extravaganza - an outdoor All-American Celebration with fireworks at the end. That's Saturday 8 p.m. at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Alpharetta.
