Today's musical newcomer is William Perry's Jamestown Concerto from 2006, written to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the first permanent English colony in Virginia. The solo cello acts as the narrator, introducing each section of the story (London 1606 - The Virginia Company; Settlements Along the River; The Long Winters; Pocahontas in London; and Jamestown - Four Hundred Years On).
